Connexions Interviews

Are you unsure about what you want to do after your GCSE's? Do you think that you know what you want to do but don't know how to go about it? If so then the Connexions Service are in school every Tuesday and Thursday. Just speak to either your Form Tutor or Mr Saunders and they will set up a Connexions Interview for you.

Interested in a career in the Health Service?

Blackburn College currently offers a cadet programme that is delivered in partnership with East Lancs NHS Trust. Cadets complete four hospital based placements during their time at College. These  are available in A&E,  Maternity, Paediatrics, Surgery, Medicine,  Orthopaedics and various clinics in the area. Alongside a Level 3 BTEC National Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care this course will give you UCAS points and a unique practical experience with the opportunity to gain workplace references. Blackburn College are holding an information evening on Monday 15th October AT 6:30 PM . Staff from the hospital and current Cadets will be delivering short presentations and answering questions. Places for this unique opportunity are limited and subject to a formal interview. If you can't make the event but require further information please see Caroline in the Connexions office or speak to Mr Saunders. 

Thinking of applying for the Turton 6th Form ?

A lot of the Year 11 students will have attended the Turton 6th Form Open Evening and are now considering submitting an application. It would be nice to hear from some current Sixth Form Students what they think of it. How have they settled in? Is it any different being in Turton Year 11 ?, Whats it like meeting students from other schools? Comments please!!

Is anyone thinking about a career in law - It doesnt have to be as a top Barrister as there are loads of different careers within law.
